Zeynab Jalalian, a political prisoner who is spending her eleventh-year of imprisonment in Khoy Prions, issued a letter openly opposing her lawyer’s detention, Amir Salar Davoudi, and asked the Bar Association and human rights organizations to seek out any attempt to release this human rights lawyer.
The campaign earlier reported on the arrest of Amir Salar Davoudi, a 37-year-old attorney representing a number of political and conscientious defendants. He was arrested by the Judicial Data Protection Officers and transferred to Evin Prison.
It is said that along with Amir Salar Davoudi’s arrest, the intelligence agents of the judiciary searched his office and home and seized a number of his client cases and personal belongings.
Zeynab Jalalian, a political prisoner in Khoy Prison, wrote a letter in regards to her lawyer, Amir Salar Davoudi. Part of the letter reads, “With the hope of your release as soon as possible, I ask the Bar Association and human rights organizations not to hesitate to try to free you in hope that by the end, no one is criminalized for reaching out to someone else for help. If in today’s world, people like you and others like you are not be supported, others will not be willing to help their fellow men for fear of torture and jail.“

“Peace and greetings to the dear and respectful lawyer, Mr. Amir Salar Davoudi, and to all those who did not hesitate to help these political prisoners.
Is there a better way to describe humanity becoming complete with supporting each other? Mr. Amir Salar Davoudi, you have been protecting those who fight for freedom and equality during these many years without any expectations. This support is valuable and admirable.
I, Zeynab Jalalian, one of your clients, was very saddened when I heard the news of your arrest. At the same time of your arrest, I have been pressured by the prison authorities, have been harassed, and have had all my personal belongings seized with no return. As long as you are healthy, these pressures have become normal for me and there is no more sadness.
My sorror is that those who rule our political system do not tolerate the helping hands of you and others like you. Regarding you, the caring crusaders who always support those behind bars are very upset by your arrest. Why should you be behind the bars for your support today? Is there more pain than this?
It is clear to everyone here that the Islamic Republic appears to be in contradiction with itself and become subject t harassment and aggravations in regards to those helpful and useful in the community. With the hope of your release as soon as possible, I ask the Bar Association and human rights organizations not to hesitate to try to free you in hope that by the end, no one is criminalized for reaching out to someone else for help. If in today’s world, people like you and others like you are not be supported, others will not be willing to help their fellow men for fear of torture and jail.”
Greetings
Zainab Jalalian
